Today marks my final working day at Taikoo Motors Group. The sudden and quick decision does not give me enough time to say goodbye to each colleague.
I unlocked lots of skills, capabilities, and possibilities during the 5 years and 1 month here. I would not imagine I could do so much when I first came here.
This is a company under a big and 200-year-old conglomerate. I met good & bad people, smart & stupid people, nice & selfish people,… and see things happen as they do with these people. This is a place that “system matters”. No system is perfect, and something can definitely be manipulated in some way. However, this company has relatively good systems to survive more than 2 centuries and will go further. And the politics did not beat me or change me from being a good man. This might be the last straw to make me have to leave the company.
The sparks in Hong Kong made the moment of the journey. Being open to a group of good people was such a wonderful thing. Unfortunate the sparks could not last long, but I will never forget my 40th birthday with the “home team”.
I found my passion in automotive business here. I will stay in this business if God allows. The end of this journey is always followed by the beginning of a new one.
